Convert DOCX to PDF

Before describing how to convert a DOCX document to PDF, we are going to give a brief overview about each format.

DOCX

DOCX is a format and file extension created by Microsoft that was first introduced with Word software, version 2007, which is based on open XML and uses ZIP compression to save other types of files, including images and graphics. The benefit of having XML open is that it is capable of being read by applications, software and Internet platforms. However, to open it with a version of Microsoft Word prior to 2007, it would require converting the DOCX to a normal doc format or, failing that, to PDF. These types of files improve data management and recovery. Any application that supports XML can access and work with DOCX. The DOCX format usually has much more advanced security standards than its predecessor and therefore the information is stored in XML and is much more secure.

PDF

PDF is a file format initially developed by Acrobat and later acquired by Adobe Systems to represent documents independently of their original operating system, application or hardware where it was created, which makes a document portable, as its name implies. . A PDF file can be of any size, contain any number of fonts and images and is designed to allow transfer to any computer and printing of the document without making any modifications. Each PDF file encapsulates a complete description of a 2D and 3D document that includes the 2D / 3D text, fonts, images, and vector graphics that make up the document. They do not have information or specification of the software to open or create it.

The conversion from DOCX to PDF, in general, is necessary if the original document is required to be ported to other equipment and does not need modification. Or in this case, when the document must remain, obligatorily, without modification.
